Why a villa and not a hotel?
A hotel gives you meeting room 3B and a breakfast buffet with strangers. A villa — our corporate retreat venue in Spain, for example — gives you an estate of your own: working at the long table, brainstorming by the pool, cooking and eating as a team. Precisely the informal hours in which real team spirit grows are the hardest to organise in a hotel — and come naturally in a villa.
The logistics: easier than expected
For Belgian and Dutch teams the Costa Blanca is one of the easiest sun destinations to reach: daily direct flights to Alicante and Valencia — Alicante about an hour's drive from Jávea, Valencia a little further. Hire two or three minibuses at the airport and the transport question is solved. Villa Palmview has parking for four cars on the estate.
The ideal daily rhythm for an offsite
The pitfall of every team weekend: cramming the programme too full. A rhythm that does work: three hours of focused work or workshops in the morning, a long shared lunch, free time or sport in the afternoon, and one shared activity per evening. If you are planning a workation of one or two weeks, alternate working days with entirely free days — the wifi and the air-conditioned indoor spaces make working comfortable, and the surroundings make the free days worth it.
Why private wings are pure gold for teams
Colleagues are not family: not everyone wants to be together 24 hours a day for a week. A villa with several private wings solves that elegantly. Introverted colleagues can retreat without leaving the estate; the pool and the barbecue bring everyone back together in the evening.

Three things: a clear cost estimate per person (ask the villa for a quote for your exact dates), a light daily structure you share beforehand, and one point of contact at the villa for practical questions.
