Is it a real beach on the sea?

No. It is a private sandy area within the walled grounds. The sea itself is about 750 m away.

Not on the sand — that is what the saltwater pool (heatable) a few steps away is for. The sand is for sunbathing, games and long evenings.

Is it shared with other guests?

Never. The estate is let as a whole, to one group at a time.

Yes, in the mid and low season, on request — which is what makes a March or November week work.

Can a beach be private in Spain?

No, and we do not claim otherwise. Under the Ley de Costas 22/1988 every beach in Spain is public property and cannot be privately owned or reserved. What we have is our own stretch of sand inside the walled grounds — you share it with nobody, but it is not a piece of the coastline we have fenced off. The public beaches of Jávea are a short walk or drive away and are, by law, for everyone.
