Villa Palmview is a golf villa on the Costa Blanca, in Jávea (Alicante), for groups of 18 to 28 golfers: 11 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms in three wings, storage for every set of clubs, a heatable saltwater pool and an own sandy beach on the grounds. Five courses within 40 minutes: Club de Golf Jávea, La Sella, Golf Ifach (10 % guest discount), Oliva Nova and Altea. Alicante airport is about an hour by car.

The closest course to the villa, tucked between palms, pines and orange groves under the Montgó. Nine tree-lined holes played as eighteen from alternate tees, a driving range, an academy and a proper clubhouse restaurant — very much the locals' club, and used to holiday golfers.

Best for: Easy morning rounds, warming up on day one, and the group's beginners.
Keep in mind: Nine greens — for eighteen distinct holes, drive on to La Sella.

About this course

The region's flagship, designed by the double Masters champion on the far side of the Montgó — the same mountain you see from the villa. Three loops (Llebeig through the pines, Gregal with water, Mestral up high with sea views) combine into a different eighteen every day, with the best-equipped academy on the Costa Blanca alongside.

Best for: The serious golf days of your week — three loops mean three days without repetition.
Keep in mind: Bring your handicap certificate (maximum 35) and book tee times ahead in spring and autumn.

Best for: Relaxed holiday golf, mixed groups and a late-afternoon nine before dinner in Moraira.

Seve's flat seaside parkland half an hour north along the coast. Ten lakes bring water into play on fifteen of the eighteen holes — the island-like par-3 sixth is nicknamed "Seve's Revenge" — with a beach-and-golf resort, driving range and academy alongside.

Best for: The championship test of the week, and walkers — it is completely flat.
Keep in mind: Pack extra balls; the water is not decorative.

Tucked into the lower slopes of the Sierra de Bernia with mountain and sea views and the loveliest restaurant terrace of the five. Nine greens played twice for a full par-72 round — a scenic half-day rather than a test.

Best for: A scenic half-day with a long lunch on the terrace, and the non-golfers who come along for the view.

A week, planned

Seven days, four courses, one long table

How our golf groups usually play it — tee times in the morning, the pool and the beach in the afternoon, dinner at home. Swap days freely; the courses are all open year-round.

  1. Day 1

    Arrive and warm up

    Settle into the wings, stock the outdoor kitchen, then nine relaxed holes at Club de Golf Jávea ten minutes away. First dinner at the long table.

  2. Day 2

    La Sella, Llebeig + Gregal

    Eighteen through the pines and past the water on the far side of the Montgó. Back at the villa by mid-afternoon for the pool.

  3. Day 3

    Beach day

    No tee time. Your own sandy beach, the Arenal promenade for lunch, a walk on the Montgó for the restless. The non-golfers' favourite day.

  4. Day 4

    Oliva Nova

    The championship round half an hour up the coast — Seve's ten lakes. Lunch at the resort, siesta at home.

  5. Day 5

    La Sella, Mestral

    The high loop with sea views, combined with your favourite of the first two. Handicap cards ready.

  6. Day 6

    Ifach and Moraira

    Nine or eighteen at Golf Ifach with your guest discount, then a long lunch on the Moraira seafront ten minutes down the hill.

  7. Day 7

    Altea and the terrace

    The scenic finale: nine holes twice under the Sierra de Bernia, lunch on the terrace, the last evening around the pool.

Before you book the tee times

Handicap and tee times

La Sella asks for a handicap certificate (maximum 35); the nine-hole clubs are used to holiday golfers. Book tee times a few days ahead in spring and autumn — send us your preferred days and we help arrange them.

Clubs, buggies and trolleys

All five courses rent buggies and trolleys and most have hire sets, so nobody has to fly with clubs. Ask for hire clubs when we book your tee times.

Green fees

Fees vary by course and season: the nine-hole clubs are the friendliest on price, La Sella and Oliva Nova charge championship rates, and Villa Palmview guests get 10% off at Ifach. We send the current fees with your tee-time request.

Dress code

The usual Spanish standard: collared shirt, tailored shorts or trousers, soft spikes. Jeans and beachwear stay at the villa.

The best months

October to May is prime golf weather here — mild, dry and 15–22 °C. Summer means early tee times and afternoons in the pool; the courses stay open all year.

Back at the villa

Storage out of sight for every set, a hose and space to dry shoes, four cars inside the gate, a heatable pool for tired legs in the cooler months, and an outdoor kitchen with one long table for 28.

A golf week works when the base does. Villa Palmview sleeps up to 28 guests in 11 en-suite bedrooms across three private wings — early tee-timers get ready without waking anyone. Only at La Sella, which asks for a handicap certificate, with a maximum of 35. The friendly 9-hole courses are used to holiday golfers. Bring your card if you have one, and book tee times a few days ahead in spring and autumn. We gladly help arrange them.

Yes, that is exactly what the villa is made for. While four of you play La Sella, the rest have the saltwater pool, the private sandy beach, the petanque court and the Montgó walking trails. In the evening everyone gathers again at the same long table.

Spring and autumn are ideal, though the courses are playable all year round. Winters stay a mild 15–20 °C; it is no coincidence that cycling teams and golfers train here. In high summer, book early tee times and spend the afternoon in the pool.
