Jávea by season
There is no closed season here.
Three hundred to three hundred and twenty-five sunny days a year, and winters that average 15 to 20 °C. This holiday home on the Costa Blanca changes character with the calendar — the question is only which version you want.

Three villas in one
Villa rental in Jávea: pick the season, get a different house.
June to September
Long pool days, dinner outside at ten, the sand in full use. The loudest, happiest version.
April–May and October
Warm days, cool nights, empty coves and a heatable pool. The months we would book ourselves.
November to March

The shoulder months
The best-kept secret is April.
Warm enough for the terrace, cool enough to walk the Montgó, and the Arenal belongs to whoever gets there first. The pool is heated on request.

Jávea celebrates all year round
Jávea has more fiestas than months. Some are quiet and centuries old, others run through the night. Plan your week around one and you see the town as it really is — not as the brochure shows it.

Christmas and New Year
The holidays with everyone under one roof
December here is mild, the days are clear and the estate is empty of tourists. For a family that truly sees each other once a year, it is the best week there is: everyone sleeps in their own room, and nobody has to drive an hour home after dessert.

The covered outdoor tables work in December too; inside there are three lounges for the evenings after.
The pool can be warm
Pool heating is bookable in mid and low season — € 450 per booking, to be requested at least a week ahead.
Christmas and New Year are the first weeks to go, usually a year ahead. Ask early.
Winter
The mild season is the quiet superpower.
While northern Europe closes down, the roads here are empty and the light is clean. It is why professional cycling teams and company offsites choose January and February.

Timing
Questions about when.
On request, yes. Outside high season the saltwater pool can be heated to 26 °C; ask for this at least a week before arrival. The supplement is €450 per booking. In summer the pool reaches a comfortable temperature by itself, at no extra cost.
It varies by season: seven nights in July and August, four in June and September, two in the low season and five around Christmas and New Year. There is no fixed changeover day. If your dates fall between two periods, ask us; you will have an answer within a day.
Yes. Longer stays outside high season are welcome. For January and February there is a monthly stay offered as a winter promotion, for the main villa with up to 18 guests; the conditions are on the Winter Promotions page. Other months are quoted separately: just tell us the dates.
Jávea stays open. Supermarkets, late-night shops and restaurants keep running all year; it is simply calmer in winter. The region has 300 to 325 sunny days a year, winters average 15 to 20 °C, and the town has festivals and markets throughout the year.
